About the Conference

COVID-19 continues to impact our mental health at work, accelerating the need – that was already present before the pandemic began – to create more psychologically safe workplaces.

Working Together, Thriving @ Work 2022 will showcase innovation, research, and educational content through plenary and workshop sessions. The two-day conference offers attendees the choice of an in-person or virtual experience to network with peers across Manitoba from diverse industries – all with the common goal of seeing workers flourish and thrive in their mental health, well-being, and career development.

Learn from those who have collaborated in shifting workplace culture, using lived experiences to have conversations about mental health challenges and reduce exposure to occupational stressors, increase engagement, and create psychologically safe workplaces for everyone.

CMHA is encouraging people from all industries to attend, including workers, employers, as well as representatives from labour, occupational health and safety, and human resources. Find out more about the conference at WorkingTogetherMB.ca

On April 12, 2022, MGEU and the CMHA hosted over 150 MGEU delegates (who'd applied to the CMHA's original in-person conference), so they could spend the day together virtually, discussing current challenges when it comes to workplace mental health in our Locals, as well as ideas and strategies for making real and meaningful change.

This exercise proved extremely valuable in helping us to clarify both our unique and common workplace issues, obstacles, and opportunities. It also resulted in a flip book of our discussions by artist, Liisa Sorsa, who attended the workshop to create this amazing visual summary!
